We're a small, friendly company located in Portland, Oregon. We are
dedicated to creating good and healthy foods the whole family can enjoy.
Ron grew up in the restaurant business, and his family loved to cook. When his
father was diagnosed with diabetes, Ron developed some sauces he could use to
marinate his favorite meats that would meet his dietary needs. Following an
enthusiastic response from family and friends, he decided to start producing the
sauces and syrups for others. As he learned more about specialty dietary needs,
especially celiac disease and gluten intolerance, he modified his recipes so
that they would be suitable for those needs as well.
Sandy understands the importance of healthy eating from her years as a
pharmacist. She has watched first hand as gluten-free diets have done wonders
for those suffering from celiac disease, and she has enjoyed bringing her
husband's wonderful sauces to the market for those with dietary concerns to
enjoy. Her love of Friesian horses inspired the Black Horse™ logo.
Black Horse™ Sauces has grown from those initial recipes to a product line that
includes six sauces and two syrups that are all gluten and GMO free. The Savory,
Apricot, Hot & Spice, Verde Chile, and Raspberry Mustard Sauces are also Heart
Healthy. The Rasberry and Marionberry Syrups also have reduced sugar. All products are produced in an allergen free production facility. |
